After Laser Lipo Treatment 1 hr: First 7 Days Do's & Don'ts image

If you’ve been in my studio and felt that “so welcoming, professional, and extremely helpful” energy, I want you to keep that same support at home too. The single most important rule after laser lipo is simple: for the first 24 to 72 hours, keep it calm. Rest, keep moving lightly, and skip heat, heavy workouts, and anything that makes you swell more. Those first few days protect your results.

First 24 to 48 hours after lipo laser treatment: keep swelling down, keep circulation up

Quick reality check: Your session may be 30 minutes for targeted areas or 1 hour for a full session. Aftercare stays the same. The goal is less inflammation and steady, gentle movement.

Do this on day 0 and day 1

  • Rest first. I generally recommend you take it easy the same day. Light walking is great. Long naps are fine too.
  • Walk a little, often. A few short walks help circulation without stirring up swelling. Keep it gentle.
  • Wear compression as directed. Commonly that means continuously for the first 48 to 72 hours, then daytime for 1 to 2 weeks. If I gave you different instructions, follow those.
  • Hydrate like you mean it. Riverside heat is no joke. More water usually means you feel better and recover smoother.

Skip these in the first 24 to 48 hours

  • No heavy workouts or heavy lifting. If it spikes your heart rate hard or makes you strain, wait.
  • No hot baths, saunas, or heat therapy. Heat can push swelling in the wrong direction early on.
  • No sun on treated areas. Especially in Arlington near Daly Avenue, it’s easy to step outside and forget how strong the sun feels. Cover up.

Days 2 to 7 after laser lipolysis: the rules that keep your results on track

By day 2, most people feel “normal” enough to want to jump back into everything. This is where I want you to stay consistent instead. I’ve had clients tell me they “always look forward” to their sessions because they feel comfortable here, and I want you to feel that same calm at home too. Keep the first week simple and you’ll usually see smoother progress over the next few weeks.

The Arlington week plan: Light movement daily, compression on schedule, extra hydration, and no peak-heat outdoor workouts. If you’re commuting on I-215 or CA-60, plan your workouts indoors for a few days so heat and sweat don’t make you puffier.

Sun, sweat, and water rules

  • Showers are usually fine as long as they’re gentle and not too hot. Pat dry. Don’t scrub aggressively over treated areas.
  • Avoid pools and hot tubs for at least 1 to 2 weeks. Same for soaking baths. I’d rather you wait than deal with irritation.
  • Avoid direct sun on treated areas for 1 to 2 weeks. Riverside sun plus irritated skin is a bad combo.
  • Keep workouts light at first. Think walking, easy cycling, or gentle stretching until you’re past the initial swelling window.

What you might feel (and what’s usually normal)

Mild swelling, tenderness, light bruising, and some numbness can happen. Results tend to be gradual over several weeks, not overnight. If you’re coming to me from Corona, Norco, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Moreno Valley, or Grand Terrace and you went back to work or school the same day, that’s fine. Just don’t “power through” with heat and intense exercise in week one.

Compression, hydration, and skin care that protect laser lipo results

If you want the short version, do the basics consistently. Compression plus hydration makes a bigger difference than most people think, especially in warm Riverside weather. Keep the treated area clean, and keep your skin comfortable.

Compression garment: If I told you to wear it continuously at first, do that. Then switch to daytime wear as instructed. If it’s rolling, digging, or leaving deep marks, let me know. Fit matters.

Hydration: Aim for steady water intake through the day. Many clients tell me they feel “lighter” and less puffy when they’re consistent with water and easy movement.

Simple skin routine: Gentle cleanser, gentle shower, and a basic fragrance-free moisturizer if your skin feels dry. Skip harsh scrubs, heavy oils, and anything that stings until you’re fully calm.

When to text or call me after laser lipo (normal vs not normal)

I’m big on clear explanations. People tell me I “explain everything clearly and really care, ” and I keep that same energy after your session. Mild swelling, light bruising, and some numbness can be normal. Feeling a bit sore is common too.

Reach out right away if you have severe pain, a fever, worsening redness that spreads, or anything that feels like it’s getting worse instead of better. I’d rather you ask early than sit at home stressed.

“Malena is very knowledgeable and helpful. She literally goes out of her way to make sure you leave her studio happy and satisfied.”

Your Laser Lipo Treatment 1 hr details (60 minutes, $125) and next steps

My Laser Lipo Treatment 1 hr is a 60-minute non-invasive fat reduction session for a slimmer appearance, and it’s $125. If you’re planning multiple sessions, I also have packages of 6, 12, 18, or 24, depending on what your body needs, and they save you money compared to paying one at a time.

If you want help mapping out timing around work shifts, childcare, or evening classes, I’ll talk it through with you. That’s a big reason people keep coming back. They feel comfortable, supported, and clear on what to do next.
